Over the Weekend:

A few days ago I took my single stroller to the park because I only need it for baby Iggy since Anna's running around and its easier to maneuver than the double and I was too lazy to put it back in the garage and left it by the front door.

Anna seized the opportunity to hop in from the front step and demand an impromtu walk around the block one evening before bedtime and I started doing that a few evenings in a row and it seemed to help her get the sillies out before bed.'

Then one evening Iggy wasn't home to watch the baby so I took the double out so I can take both of them and Anna had a fit. Apparently it was our thing?

It was the worst walk ever. She kept crawling up the stroller to get climb into my arms and then had a screaming fit when I strapped her down.

It didn't help that one of neighbors had a horse just hanging out in his front yard haha. Anna kept yelling to go over to it and I had to hold my head down and walk faster.

I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but no one ever watches my kids. Like ever. The best I can get out of people is 1 hour of bible study from my mom, and Iggy's mom will sometimes watch my kids so I can run some errands around that side of town. The reasons for this are multiple, 1.) My kids are really attached to me. They go bonkers when I leave them. I can't even go to the bathroom alone, Anna has to go with me. 2.) Both sets of grandparents are really old and have issues holding baby Iggy for long, and he needs a lot of holding to be comfortable. 3.) If I have problems leaving them with the grandparents who see them all the time, I'm definitely not going to leave them with anyone else. Anna would flip her lid. 4.) I don't trust that many people. I obviously trust my friends but I don't trust everyone that goes in and out of their house and I'd rather be safe that sorry.

So usually Iggy and I wear our kids out on the weekend so we can have more hours alone at night haha. Our current family routine for Saturdays is chick-fil-a for brunch ( I like their baby friendly playground) and barnes and noble, with a trip to the water fountains, all in the same promenade:

Sunday:

Church: Okay I got really irritated today. We got to mass and there was no room for us in the cry room. Because of a bunch of people that don't have kids! I love being in the actual church, I only go to the cry room because I have loud kids that cry, I don't understand people that go there without children. Because of this I had to escort a certain little girl outside for a little bit because she wouldn't stop singing when everyone else did:

Rest of the day:

Anna eating her first edamame! She's a fan haha

My nephew came over straight from the circus and Anna plucked his light toy right out of his hands without so much as a hello. That girl is going to get a rude awakening when she meets the real world outside her adoring cousins haha

And that's it! How was your weekend?

  1. The great thing about a 2 year old going to the bathroom with you is you have a personal courtesy flusher.
