Before I was pregnant (ever) I found out I had cysts in my ovaries, but when I went to get a surgery scheduled to remove them (usually cysts aren't too painful but I could definitely feel mine) I found out I was pregnant with baby #1 and I continued to have 3 back to back pregnancies so I couldn't do anything about it.
I finally went back to the doctor to get them checked out again since they were bugging me and I found out I have one cyst and one benign tumor that "may or may not turn into cancer in the future".
ANNOYING.
Even more annoying Iggy is insisting we revamp our food consumption and eat only super healthy anti cancer foods EVER. And he calls my tumor "tumi"(pronounced "too-me") like it's a new part of the family similar to a cantankerous spinster aunt that you need to accommodate in your home for who knows how long because it's the right thing to do. When I tried to calm him down he looked at me darkly and said
"you are not leaving me alone with these awful little people"
He means the kids of course.
I have another appointment with the surgeon to see about removing it but my doctor said both cyst and tumor are under the operable size so I might have to wait and see if they get bigger or turn to cancer, especially since I turned down the "medicinal route" i.e the cancer causing birth control pill to stop ovulation.
In the meantime I dug out an old book I read a few years back "anticancer to refresh my memory on cancer tips and tricks because I remembered that he had written "eating healthy" is an elusive term and isn't necessarily anti-cancerous.
Maybe I'll be the anti-cancer recipe mama blogger on the block :p
