Catch Up Friday:

Baby Iggy's doctor finally gave the green light to start feeding him this month!!

I started mashing him up fruits and he hated them. Anna basically ate all fruits and vegetables and fruits are still a sweet treat for her so this is a little weird for me.

So when I was shopping at Target a couple of weeks ago I bought some Ella's Organic and Happy Tot's Organic Superfood pouches for him concentrating on the savory flavors since that's what he likes most. Happy Tots has fruits hidden in veggies for babies like baby Iggy haha.

I still haven't bought him his own set of plates and spoons since I found some of Anna's weaning spoons in the drawer (it was only a year ago that she was using them after all), but I'm planning on ordering some off of Amazon today. I had planned to go shopping with Anna and take her for a treat afterwards just the two of us while the Iggy's stayed home but I hadn't actually been to the Babies R Us in that parking lot before and it sucked. It had very limited selection of things.

I went to breakfast with my best friend on Wednesday and casually mentioned that I wanted to start jogging and that my stroller was actually a jogger and she actually imposed a plan of action much to my shock.

The first day we went (thursday) Anna slept the entire stretching and jog time and woke up when we were doing resistance exercises. Baby Iggy only likes it when I run and he lets out impatient cries when I walk haha.

The park where we are going to has a little playground area where we take the kids after our workout:

When my friend Paulette showed this picture to Cadee, Cadee was like "she was spying on me!!!" haha

(Anna got herself into a little workout too! )

On Thursday Anna and I tried a Mommy and Me class. I called on the phone the day before to get information but all the receptionist told me was that the class was usually Monday's and Wednesday's but had a class on Thursday this week for some reason, but she didn't know the requirements, or cost or anything.

Once we were there I found out the class was actually full, but it was a weird day since they had moved the class day so a lot of working moms couldn't make it so they let us stay for that class. The teacher also said Anna was a little two young, but that I could call to sign her up in November when Anna turns two.

Anna actually  loved it for the most part. Even as we were walking into the school she was smiling and clapping excitedly haha. She was pretty well behaved in the beginning but she cried a little at some of the rules like not climbing on a chair to get to the white board, but she needs a little more discipline so I think the class would be good for us. Another reason I want to go is that she needs to learn how to play with kids her age well. She tends to push and shove a little, but I think it's because my nephews let her when she plays with them. I told Chris who's 6 to not let her do that and he was like "Baby Anna doesn't hurt me!!!!!" and I explained that she needs to know it's not okay to push people but he said he'd rather have her push people than be pushed haha. No help.

I was laying down yesterday trying to take a little nap when I felt little chubby fingers trying to pry my rings off of me.

And that's about it! I'm about to sit down to make my meal plan for next week now. I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing it yesterday because Iggy called me to watch The Vow with him last night. I try to do my meal planning Thursdays because the farmer's market is on Friday's, and I hate going grocery shopping without a plan because I end up with too much pretty fruit and veggies I don't use.

P.S while watching The Vow I asked Iggy what he would do if that happened to me and he said he would do his best to convince me I hate bookstores, reading, coffee bean, and Sam's Club lol.

  1. Aw, they are both so cute! Love her chubby little legs..that's how my daughter was too! I can't believe she leaves all those hair clips in!! My daughter would've been ripping those things out at that age!
