Anna and baby Iggy being buddies is my biggest wish and dream right now. I always try to get her to just look at him or give him a little attention and she just looks at me like I'm nuts and/or cries.
The closest I've gotten in the past for her to show him affection is a smack on the head. I was stroking his little arm and encouraging Anna to do the same and she smacked him and chuckled.
I'm not one to be discouraged though so I kept at it (this time ready to intercept her arm if she looked like she was going to swing). Last night I was on the bed with them and I gave the baby a little kiss on the head and told Anna to give him a kissy too.
She did and I almost fainted. But I didn't really so I grabbed my phone and started snapping pictures.
She was on a roll. Maybe because Iggy and I would scream praise and cheer each time? She did look pretty pleased with herself like she ran a marathon. She would light up at the clapping and then try to go for a little modesty and duck her head, only to do it again and again.
This morning I decided to check if the magic was still there and asked her to give him a good morning kissy.
Still there. I am BESIDES myself people. Here's to praying it sticks.
