Does anyone else feel like "crap it's Wednesday already"?
I'm usually super chipper around the New Year but baby Iggy being sick has been wearing me down.
His fever went away yesterday but he's been irritable and cranky all day, and not sleeping for more than an hour total. He's also not interested in foods that aren't cookies.
I get frustrated because he just wants to be held all day, but I can't. He leans his body weight away from me and it kills my back, and when I lay him down or put him in his jumper he's screaming again.
Sometimes I have to just lay him down anyway to tend to Anna and he eventually calms down. Until he catches sight of someone and starts wailing again. This morning Anna walked by his crib and he started crying as if she could pick him up haha.

If he's still like this by Friday I'm going to have to take him to the neurologist or the ER at CHOC.
With him being so little and unable to talk there's always that fear that whatever he has isn't a simple tummy virus, it might really a shunt infection or a malfunctioning shunt.
We dodged a bullet with his tummy issues. Worse case scenario was that he wasn't going to be able to digest food at all, but he's done fine. He had a bad reaction to coconut milk, so he might have a FODMAPS sensitivity, but that is still worlds away from what we were prepared for.
The only peace I've been getting these past few days is bath time. It get's a little tricky when it's time to get them out, but while they're in, it's good.
It's also been the best bonding time for them. Baby Iggy has barely been sitting up well so it wasn't a possibility before. At first Anna was like "Who's this intruder?!" but then she'd get close to him and pour cups of water over his shoulders. She started kissing him last week and she's been keeping it up daily.
Without asking her she gave him a cup today and I nearly melted. That's a big step for her, ha.
Bathtime would be a little better if I didn't have to sit right next to the tub with one arm sticking in ready to catch baby Iggy, but I'll take what I can get right now ;)
My kids and hubby were all sick with the flu ALL last week. I somehow stayed healthy, but was going crazy being stuck in the house! My little guy only wanted held too..33 pounds is WAY too heavy to hold 24/7!! lol
