Well technically not that wrong, my license was suspended.
How embarrassing right?
Three years ago, before I was even pregnant with Anna, I got pulled over for speeding on the 91 freeway on my way to work. It was my second speeding ticket in two years so I couldn't get traffic school.
It's kind of funny now because I've become the world's slowest driver ever since I became a mom.
ANYWAY, I called the courthouse to try and fight it, and my court date was set for a year and half later because it was in the city of Long Beach, a high crime area.
I went when I was pregnant with baby Iggy and I chickened out on appealing so I plead guilty. I know.
I got my ticket in the mail around the time baby Iggy was born and I forgot all about it because I had bigger fish to fry with him needing 8 surgeries and all.
This December I got a nice little letter in the mail telling me my license would be suspended.
Because I missed the original due date when the baby was in the hospital it was a little bit expensive and I was a little apprehensive to tell Iggy about it, so I kind of took awhile.
I finally told him the week of the holidays but the courthouse had impossible hours and he's been working a lot, so he finally took me today.
It was actually kind of fun. We hardly go out alone for long stretches at a time, and it's refreshing when we do. I also got him to agree to bring me back to the Long Beach promenade and Aquarium with the kids soon.
A lot of Long Beach is ugly and run down, but the area the courthouse is in is very nice area. Even the potted plants are bedazzled. There's a big emphasize from the city making the area beautiful, not just individual businesses so there's a lot of special detailing you don't see much, even in nice towns.
I'm a little bit of a homebody so day's like today I realize I don't take advantage of living where in Southern California enough.

I've nominated you for a Liebster Award! Have a look
