Today I caught up on some laundry and chores and then Iggy took the kids and I to Lucille's for a late lunch (P.S kids, you were terrible but we love y'all anyway). Afterwards I asked him to take me to the mall for a new pair of jeans and he ended up buying me quite a few things ;). That was kind of my secret plan because I have to dress business casual for my 3 day orientation and hardly have anything that fits the description. I went from high school to hospital scrubs so my clothes tend to be more on the casual side.
Then we got home and I had to order Anna a few things for school since she's going to start next week.
I LOVE back to school shopping. This past fall I saw so many cute things and couldn't wait to be able to really go shopping for the kids, but I thought I was going to wait at least another year to send Anna to preschool.
Since I'm starting work tomorrow, we've been looking into preschool's and I was secretly as excited about buying Anna her school gear as I was picking a great school.
Well we found a great school last week and I just finished ordering some school things.
Firstly I'm in love with Skip Hop products. I can usually tell when things are made by the company because they are so unique and cute!
I know I saw this backpack in person somewhere, either at Nordstroms or Target around late summer, but I couldn't find it in stock anywhere now so I ordered everything off Amazon.
1.) Backpack and lunchie 2.) Bib 3.) Straw cup 4.) fork+spoon 5.) Container set 6.)soup thermos
Items 1-5 are by Skip Hop. The container set (5) I saw at Target for around 20.00 but it came in a slim black insulated bag that I probably wouldn't have used since I got a bigger lunch bag. By pure luck I came across the containers alone for half the price. The last item is an Aladdin soup thermos that has great reviews.
I agonized over the lunch containers haha. In the end I just thought about Anna's ideal lunches, and she likes a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, and soups and pasta. I like that the containers aren't stuck together so the food inside doesn't have to be stuff that has to be eaten/heated at the same temperature. I'm not too sure about the fork and spoon since Anna is used to eating with adult sized plastic cutlery, but I wanted her to have travel ones, and these matched everything. They might be too chubby for her to feel comfortable with but we'll see.
