Let’s start this blog post off by saying that I am no expert when it comes to warfare and all that military stuff. But, for the sake of this blog post I did a little research and, quite frankly, I really don’t think North Korea can pose as a serious threat to the USA.
A couple of days ago, Lil Kim (that’s just my own personal slang for the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un) made a video demonstrating his nuclear arsenal parade. In addition to the parade, he also made a direct nuclear threat to California (closest state to NK borders). That made me think – what if he really launches a nuclear missile to the USA? Would that result in a tragical scenario?
Well, it is not that likely. You see, from what I’ve managed to find out online, the North Korean nuclear program is not nearly as advanced as that of USA. Their nuclear program is somewhere along the lines of USA… during the WWII. So basically, what I am trying to say here is that they are using a technology more than 50 years old.
Even if they decide to launch a nuclear strike on the USA, chances are low that they’ll even reach the skies. Why? Well, they have had just a few tests and even if they did manage to get them up and running, USA has a dozen of airstrike protection systems. These ensure that Lil Kim’s missiles don’t hit their target.
And finally, one last thing worth mentioning is the fact that these systems COULD BE faulty. I’m not trying to scare you guys, but it’s a fact. These anti-airstrike systems are based on high technology but have yet to be tested in real war scenarios. While I do believe our military scientists know what they’re doing (I mean, just look at that MOAB they dropped on those tunnels), I’m just trying to inform you there is a small chance of something going wrong…
